Alright, well this post isnt ALL about Glee, but I did notice something on last week episode that caught my attention.

It's really interesting to me how YouTube videos can really play a part in the rest of the world.  How something ordinary that people do can be noticed, talked about, even mimiced on a national television show.

The one that caught my eye was the "David after the dentist" joke on Glee.  If you haven't seen that yet, here is the link:

I personally think it's hilarious, and so true. Just a guy, taping his kid after he goes to the dentist, and boom, after only two years, over 69 MILLION HITS!  wow.  Incredible.

Here is what made me laugh in last weeks Glee episode.  Just to catch those non-Gleeks up (Which there should be NONE OF YOU because this show is not only hilarious and fun to watch, but really shows how important arts are in our schools!) here is a short synopsis of what was going on beforehand:

This is the famed "Britney Spears" episode, and many of the kids need to go to the dentist, after finding out they have bad teeth (kind of a weird plot, but whatever, it works.)  After being put under and listening to Britney music, they all start having their own dreams where they are Britney in her music videos.  Right after Rachel Berry, the leader of the Glee Club (played by the AMAZING Lea Michele) wakes up, this is what happens:

Interesting how one father's silly tape of his kid could be on an Emmy award winning show?  I've seen a few others have this happen to them, but this was the most recent.  I also find it interesting that musicians who are just goofing off and making YouTube videos can become superstars. For example, Justin Bieber.  But I guess I just don't care about him enough to talk about him.  That's for another rant, but probably one discussing stupidity.

I also noticed that! I thought it was funny how they slipped that in there.

It amazes me how things like that blow up so quickly. 15 Minutes of Fame, I guess? Just like all those videos that are posted of people "singing" songs...and they get SO many hits because people watch them to LAUGH. I often wonder if the people in the videos realize that...

Behind every successful man, there is a woman. And behind every unsuccessful man, there are two.
